The beautiful Veronica Varlow of DangerDame.com [link] came by for a little fun with me yesterday... Driving around in our coupe we shot some bad guys and put them in the trunk! She's always a blast to work with.

great shot
1) All guns are always loaded.
2) Never let the muzzle of a gun cover anything you are not prepared to destroy.
3) Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4) Be sure of your backstop. (That is, be aware of what the bullet will hit if it misses or goes through the target.)
In this case the model is violating Rule 3. While I understand that sometimes for narrative purposes this is necessary, in most cases it isn't. A model with her finger alongside the trigger guard is just as clearly "armed and dangerous" without being in a position where a negligent discharge is possible. Even if that's just a prop gun, it's always a good idea to show guns being handled with respect.
